Meet Tina – Our Production Manager for Pharmaceutical Packaging Services
Q1. Tell us about yourself.
I started with Jones almost 38 years ago, back when it was known as Ivers-Lee and later Jones Packaging. I’ve always enjoyed the fast-paced production environment.
I appreciate life, both work and personal. I believe life is precious and I’ve learned not to take things for granted. One of my favourite places to be is at a beach watching and listening to the waves, the pace is much slower but peaceful. I also appreciate gardening and birdwatching. Gardening is a very relaxing activity that requires patient labour and attention, whereas I find watching and listening to birds to be a beautiful, meditative experience.
Q2. What inspires/motivates you?
I’m inspired by a great workplace environment – one that is supportive, conscientious and a safe place to work for all. I always try to lead by example while mentoring and coaching others. I’m motivated by meeting deadlines, targets and improving efficiencies. It’s all about continuous improvement.
Q3. What advice would you give to your younger self?
- Always be as kind to others as you would like others to be kind to you.
- Worry less about the small things because so many big things are coming!
- Always do your best and trust in yourself.
Q4. What are you looking forward to in the future?
Growing with Jones while continuing to work hard, work smart, and progress in my current role of Production Manager. I’ll continue to lead by example and enjoy the process of developing those around me.
Q5. What’s your favourite part of your job?
The people. Starting from Chris Jones Harris, Ron Harris, and everyone else at Jones Healthcare Group. I have a deep appreciation for my role at Jones. Managing people is not an easy job – I have to always remember “it’s not what you say but how you say it.”
Q6. What’s are you most proud of?
I’m proud of my work and the relationships I’ve developed with the people here. I deal with all situations in a calm, respectful, professional, and timely manner. I’m very proud that people trust me and feel comfortable approaching me with sensitive matters, which I’ve been able to help people through. I respect confidentiality, and I think people understand that, and that’s why they’re able to come to me with certain things they wouldn’t go to someone else with. I’m always available 24/7 to support my team.
I’m also proud to be a small part of Jones and grateful for everything I’ve experienced here.
