Jones Healthcare Group Opens Doors to New Distribution Centre Location
Consolidated warehousing drives business effectiveness and control, supports sheeting operations for enhanced speed to market
We are pleased to open a new Distribution Centre location in London, Canada to strengthen operational effectiveness and supply chain control, while driving speed to market for our customers.
The new facility supports our Cartons & Labels and Pharmacy & Medication Adherence business units, consolidating logistics and warehousing from two previous facilities into one. In addition to realizing operational efficiencies, the facility provides expanded storage space for paperboard stock rolls to support our investment in new sheeting operations.
With the installation of a new MAXSON MDH Sheeter at our carton and label facility, we are now converting paperboard stock rolls to sheets in-house prior to printing, die-cutting and finishing folding cartons. Ultimately, this helps reduce order cycle times for our customers while giving us more flexibility and nimbleness within manufacturing. Integrating sheeting into our processes also enhances business resilience and supply chain control.
Our new Distribution Centre features 12 docking positions and 142,000 square feet of optimized storage and racking, with a location in close proximity to our head office and carton and label facility.
